Bonnington Cottage

Set within a hamlet of cottages dating from the medieval times, this quintessentially English cottage with pretty garden offers a relaxing and peaceful retreat.

  • Chocolate box cottage
  • Peaceful rural setting
  • Close to Canterbury and the coast

Bonnington Cottage started life as a 15th century granary and was converted to a farmhouse in the Victorian era. After much love and attention, it has been transformed into a beautiful holiday home with a chocolate box exterior and elegant country style interior.

Bonnington Cottage sits within the Goodnestone Park country estate owned by Lord and Lady Fitzwalter. Guests can visit the beautiful gardens once favoured by Jane Austen whose brother married into the Fitzwalter family. The gardens are open to the public from April to September each year.

Within walking distance is the pretty village of Goodnestone. The local pub The Fitzwalter Arms, offers good food, a warm welcome to dogs, and their owners!
