Built in 1874, the Crown Inn combines period charm with contemporary style, facilities and entertainment, a few steps from the woods and open spaces of Chislehurst Common. Both visitors and locals enjoy traditional home-cooked pub food in the attractive restaurant, while the bar offers authentic Kentish cask ales, as well as distinctive international lagers and a good choice of wines by the glass. The pub has an excellent function room, with its own bar, and is one of the best places to stay in the area, with seven en-suite rooms. The Crown Inn is a five-minute walk from the 8,000-year-old Chislehurst Caves and close to Camden Place, the home of Napoleon III and the Empress Eugenie.
