Come to Canoe Wild for a fun and memorable experience on the River Stour! Whether you are looking for some fresh air or family fun, Canoe Wild is a great day out for everyone.

Canoeing is a gentle outdoor activity ideal for all abilities; families, beginners and groups are all welcome. No experience is required, and we supply all the equipment you need with experienced and friendly coaches on hand. Come along and explore Kent’s rivers, experience stunning scenery, get close to wildlife and feel the benefits of escaping into the great outdoors!

All the hires are based along the River Stour, perfect for an outdoor adventure. Paddle on your own along the river for 1 Hour at either of our sites, Fordwich or Grove Ferry or keep paddling from Fordwich to Grove Ferry. This paddle will take between 2 – 3 hours, depending on how often you would like to stop and take photos.  We offer a free lift back to your cars after your paddle!  Why not make it a Full Day Out? Pack a picnic, grab your paddles and take to the River for 5 – 7 hours. Relax on the bankside at Grove Ferry before continuing your adventure!

Our Open Canadian Canoes can seat 2 adults and 2 children under 11 maximum or 3 small adults.  We recommend 2 adults per Canoe for the best experience!  Double Sit-In Kayaks, Single Kayaks and Paddleboards are also available to hire (you have to be 12+ with an adult on the water to paddle a single craft though).

We have a range of other experiences which include:

  • Young Paddlers Club – Raft Building, Paddleboarding, Kayaking and Canoeing!
  • Kayak and Paddleboard Taster Sessions – in the morning every Saturday and Sunday
  • Paddle Start, Discover and Explore Courses – British Canoeing recognised
  • Guided Tours, including our popular Evening Wildlife Sunset Safari and Early Bird Morning Paddle
  • Children’s Parties
  • Hen and Stag Do’s
  • Team Building Sessions – Raft Building, Multi Activity Sessions and Guided Paddles

All of our experiences are available to book online at www.canoewild.co.uk or just give us a call on 07947 835688 and we take payment over the phone to secure your slot.  Feel free to drop in at either of our sites and a friendly member of staff will be available to answer any questions you might have.

How to spend the 2022 Bank Holidays in Kent

2022 is going to be a good year for bank holidays as we’ve been given an extra one to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee, by getting a bonus holiday day on 3rd June. With all those long weekends that we’ve got to use, Kent is coming out swinging for those who want entertainment, secluded escapes, to a taste of Kent right on their doorstep.
