This 15th century Grade I listed building was the venue for the last Charge of the Light Brigade survivors' dinner. A copy of the menu and list of names are still on display at the pub.
The Crown Inn is also known as the Cherry Brandy House, as it is where the liqueur was first made. A bottle of special recipe cherry brandy can be purchased on site. It was also one of Charles Dickens’ favourite places to stay in Kent.
Situated between Margate and Canterbury, The Crown Inn remains a popular place for travellers to stay when touring the Garden of England.
