A short walk from Ramsgate’s Royal Harbour will take visitors to the only Museum in Kent which is solely dedicated to the history of computing and video games. The Micro Museum is the showcase for the Deer private collection of vintage home computers, games, and more - brought together over 45+ years. Visitors will find a unique display of 100s of devices from the 1940s through to the early 21st Century.
Fun for all ages, whatever the weather...
Schools, private groups or party bookings are welcome from Easter to the end of August, on days when the Museum is usually closed. Downloadable booking information and forms can be found on the website.
Access Information
There are 2 steps up to the entrance from the pavement. A sign invites people to request assistance if needed. There is no ramp alternative here, and the doorway/ entrance is too narrow for wheelchairs or ramps. However, double doors from the driveway give full access to the Museum/ Games area, and can be opened if necessary.
Although the doorway between the reception area and the main rooms is not wheelchair/scooter accessible, the whole of the interior of the Museum/Games area is.
There is an accessible visitor toilet on site.
The closest Blue Badge parking is at Meeting Street Car Park (CT11 9RT), approximately 160 metres from the Museum. There is a very limited (single car) parking available, and visitors are asked to request use in advance of visit, if needed.
Assistance Dogs welcome.
