Situated in the heart of the village, the King's Head is the ideal after-walk gastropub. Once you've finished a short or long hike in the Downs, your pooch is welcome in both the bar and the restaurant and even in the bedrooms if you opt to stay a night! Plus there may even be a dog-friendly beer on offer...
If you finish up your trail in Penshurst village be sure to stop off at the Leicester Arms. Seasonal food is on the menu for the human members of the family, while dog treats and water bowls are available for the canines.

Resting in Goodnestone near Canterbury, the pub dates back to 1589! In winter, the pub is the ideal cosy spot, with paths crisscrossing the village and on sunny days, enjoy a spot of lunch in the garden - don't forget to grab a bowl of water for your friend!
A traditional 13th century inn at the heart of rural village life in Speldhurst, locally-sourced food is fresh off the menu. With a roaring fire in the winter, and outside seating to admire the architecture of the 800 year old pub in the summer, you and your pup will be made to feel welcome all year.
Whether you fancy a pit stop at a cafe, a delicious hand-made pizza, or a cosy spot for a pint and a pie, the coastal towns of Broadstairs, Margate and Ramsgate each offer a range of dog-friendly spots to eat and drink. Alongside miles of coastline all accessible at different points of the year, Thanet is the perfect doggy day out.
One of our absolute favourites for the freshest seafood, it goes without saying that Buoy and Oyster's fish and chip shop Beach Buoys has some of the best coastal fayre around. Dine in with traditional cod and chips and your canine companion, or head out with your take out for a true chippy tea by the sea.
A true favourite around here, Macknade Elwick Place and Macknade Faversham's Food Village welcome dogs with open arms. Tuck into breakfast or brunch with your pooch at Macknade Elwick Place and while you wolf down waffles, your pup can sup a puppacino. Or head to the original Macknade in Faversham for treats in the Food Village for an al-fresco dining date with your Fido.
The coffee shop where dogs are treated like royalty and humans are allowed in, Arthurs in Cranbrook will treat your pooch like one of the Queen's corgis. While you grab delicious coffee and cake, your pup can get sip on a pupaccino cosied up in the cafe or out in their beautiful garden. In Tunbridge Wells, Sankeys and The Bedford make perfect pup-friendly pit-stops with treats and water bowls, while the George and Dragon in Speldhurst makes for a great country pub lunch with your four-legged pal.
